Hello, I'm Adam Tkalcic

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta my journey started on the ski slopes of Snow Valley where I began ski racing until the age of 18. During this time I attended Archbishop MacDonald Highschool and graduated in 2015 before taking a year off school to ski race full time at an international level. During my year off I was lucky enough to train and race in various locations around the world and with some of the greatest skiers currently competing on the world cup circuit.

Now, attending the University of Alberta in pursuance of a Mechanical Engineering degree my main interests include design and manufacturing, and I am specifically drawn towards the automotive industry. As an automotive enthusiast who became obsessed with cars at a young age, during my spare time I find myself devoting my time to the University of Alberta Formula SAE team with the creation of our formula-style student race car - check out my involvement more in detail here

In the future, I hope to find myself working in the automotive or motorsports industry, contributing to the design and manufacturing of mechanical components within vehicle subsystems. My preferred career attributes are ones that encompass my passions described through my current portfolio of work – a position in which I can grow into earning the trust to design mechanical parts and assemblies while being hands-on either through prototyping or interaction with machinists and equipment.
