UA20 Steering Gearbox for the University of Alberta Formula Racing Team. The idea for a gearbox to transmit torque from the steering wheel to the steering rack was an attempt to increase steering feedback and driver confidence. Featuring 45 degree custom bevel gears and a split case housing for ease of maintenance, this steering gearbox - although heavier than previous steering designs - maximizes rigidity and driver feel during aggressive handling.
